Aloha O'e, Hawai'i

We finally left Hawaii 3 weeks ago and are now living in Rexburg, ID with Adam's parents for the next 3 months. For the 3 years we lived in Hawaii, Adam had been in school and didn't have much time to do any sight-seeing. About a month before we moved off-island, he graduated and left his job, which gave us plenty of time to play tourist. Here are some of the things we were able to do before the move:

Adam re-bought an iPad and enjoyed that quite a bit,

we visited a few of the malls on the island and just browsed,

went snorkeling at Turtle Bay with Matt, Sunshine and Eliana,

went to the Hickam Air Force Base with Sumbel and Leo,

Adam went mountain biking in Hau'ula with Jonathan,

we went snorkeling at Waimea Bay,

said good-bye to the Waikiki Aquarium and my friends there with Rita and Mathoni, Annette, Jonathan and Samantha, and Tim, Sumbel and Leo,

went to the Valley of the Temples, a memorial park, with Sumbel and Leo,

paddled on the surfboard and snorkeled to Chinaman's Hat,

went to the Pu'u O Mahuka Heiau, a sacred ancient Hawaiian site overlooking Waimea Bay and Shark's Cove,

visited the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Garden,

hiked a little way in the Moanalua Valley, the first hike we went on when we first moved to Hawaii,

went to the Bishop Museum,

snorkeled at Electric Beach with Annette, Jonathan and Samantha,

went to the La'ie Temple Visitor's Center,

ate lunch at Hale'iwa Joe's and got shave ice at Matsumoto's with Ammon,

paddled the surfboard and snorkeled to Goat Island,

and said good-bye to some of our best friends...
