Fun in Waikiki

January was kind of uneventful for us, but we did try to have a little fun. Adam started school and is trying to figure out his plans for the future. It looks for now that he is going back to Idaho in the fall to finish there. Then he's planning on going to pharmacy school. The top schools he's looking at right now are Idaho State (Pocatello) and University of Washington (Seattle), but we'll have to go where he gets in, of course. He's still trying to figure out some kind of internship before applying to grad schools. These plans are all tentative since they change almost weekly with us.

Jenni is still not working. Technically, she's had a job as a substitute teacher for a month, but the district has been so slow at processing the paperwork (despite all the phone calls and visits she's made to them) that she hasn't been able to start yet. Meanwhile, she's been volunteering at the Waikiki Aquarium and is now an official Interpreter (someone who goes around answering questions and talking about the exhibits). We visited the aquarium a couple of weeks ago with our best friends in Hawaii, Matt and Sunshine. Afterward, Adam and Matt had fun swinging around on the roots of a banyan tree at the Waikiki Beach Park.

Other than that, we've just been hanging out with friends and enjoying the time we get to spend together. Hopefully we'll have more to talk about next month with Valentine's Day and Jenni's birthday coming up.
